I had a drifting mood today
It stirred a thought or two
My mind went back to happy days
To memories of you.
Our lives are like a tapestry
With two distinctive sides
The front a perfect picture
The back our secret hides.
Our memories are built like this
Some are clear and real
Others travel in and out
With no specific feel.
Life's phases too are tapestries
With textures of their own
Some we love and some we hate
From all of them we've grown.
We gather wisdom from our pains
From torment we grow strong
Our spirit nurtured by mistakes
Still fated, travels on.
Perhaps one thing which stays the same
And will forever more
Is the love we hold for another soul
The people we adore.
So I had a drifting mood today

Sometimes it's hard to understand
To see the reason why,

Life's Tug of War

Life can seem ungrateful ~ and not always kind...
Life can pull at your heartstrings ~ and play with your mind...
Life can be blissful ~ and happy and free...
Life can put beauty ~ in the things that you see ...
Life can place challenges ~ right at your feet...
Life can make good ~ of the hardships we meet...
Life can overwhelm you ~ and make your head spin...
Life can reward those ~ determined to win...
Life can be hurtful ~ and not always fair...
Life can surround you ~ with people who care ...
Life clearly does offer ~ its Up and its Downs...
Life's days can bring you ~ both smiles and frowns...
Life teaches us to take ~ the good with the bad...
Life is a mixture ~ of happy and sad...
SO...
Take the Life that you have ~ and give it your best...
Think positive be happy ~ let God do the rest...
Take the challenges that life ~ has laid at your feet...

As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even though we are far apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in our hearts.

Christmas Lights in Heaven

At Christmas time we trim our tree
With gifts and candy canes
And go for joyful sleigh rides
Down sparkling snow filled lanes.

We fill our homes with tinsel
Our hearts with Christmas cheer
We're all a little nicer
At this lovely time of year.

Stores are filled with shoppers
Streets are trimmed in green
Carolers on each corner
Tis' quite a lovely scene.

But we cannot know the beauty
The splendor or the love
Of Christmas time in heaven
With our Saviour up above.

The light that shines from Jesus
Stands out from all the rest
Of all the Christmas time displays
His is by far the best.

Like diamonds shining in the sun
You'll find His flaming light
Like a million candles burning
In the middle of the night.

The colors found in heaven
Have such a wondrous glow
And you'll find a world of beauty
Where the golden rivers flow.

There won't be gifts or mistletoe
Nor stately Christmas tree
But the throne of God will glisten
With the Blessed Trinity.

Today I touched your face again
and watched you for awhile,
I talked of things deep in my heart

I rubbed your head and told you,
how proud I am of you,
For all the little things you did
and the way you did each one.

You show such courage daily
and you teach me how to live,

and to give all I can give.

Did I tell you 'You're my hero'
when I saw you yesterday?
Or did it slip my mind
as I gently put you away?

I know your time on earth is done,
but it's how you lived each day,
You made the most of what you had
and always found a way,
To touch the hearts around you,
to love while you may.

I wish with all my heart right now,
the face I touched today,
Wasn't made of paper
or neatly placed away.

But I will put you on the shelf again
for all the world to see,
I'll talk to you tomorrow
just like I do each day.
And I'll tell you 'You're my hero'
as I gently walk away.

Love to you always, and especially now as Christmas is approaching and our loved ones who cannot be with us are constantly in our thoughts.
I'm sorry I have not been on lately, having quite a hard time with money and health problems, and in case I don't get on before Xmas I want to wish all my GTS friends and their angels a very merry Christmas, and here's to the New Year.....may it be all that you wish for and more.
